Love Spell Chocolate Chip Cookies...
If you are in the market to spread some love... no vehicle is better than a home baked chocolate chip cookie!!! Whether you want to charm giggles forth from the apple of your eye or simply warm the hearts of a lonely neighbor on a chilly winter night... chocolate chip cookies are the key...
I have provided a recipe that has been passed down through the ages... Though the ingredients may very well be identical to the Nestle Toll House Cookie Recipe... it is the modification of the preparation steps... as well as the surrounding psychic circumstance that determines the outcome of the batch...
Warning: If you are in a bad mood... stressed... angry... or broken hearted... I would not suggest trying this recipe. If your heart is not in it... then it will show... and the cookies will only lead to more disappointment and heartache. Instead... I would suggest a nice cup of hot chocolate and a funny movie... Such as Polyester or Fear of a Black Hat...
Allrighty then... On the other side of that warning... if you are deep in the throes of infatuation with the girl at your work... who's eyes shine like jewels at the bottom of a crystal pond... or perhaps your roommate's brother has a voice that sends warm chills through to the center of your heart causing fireworks to erupt to your fingertips... If you can relate to any of the afforementioned scenarios... then you definitely need to bake some cookies...
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 sticks of butter (softened, don't use margerine)
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
12 oz. bag of Nestle Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Skip the nuts unless you're into all that kinda jive...
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Combine flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl... mix with your electric mixer until you suspect that any more mixing will result in unmixing... Then... add the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla into a big ass mixing bowl... and go BZZZZZZZZZZZ with your mixer until it looks all fluffy... Then... one at a time... mix in the eggs. A hint with the eggs... is to crack the egg into your measuring cup before you throw it into the batter... just in case their is something funky inside...
Then... start mixing in the flour... I usually add 1/3 of the flour at a time... mix it in... then add the next 1/3... Mix the heck out of it... then mix it some more. Next... add the chips... I typically mix in half the bag... then the next half...
Now you are ready to bake!!!
On an ungreased cookie sheet... use a teaspoon to dole out a dozen luscious lumps of dough. Then place them in your oven... Using a timer... cook them for 7 minutes on the first batch (7 minutes will almost never burn your cookies if the oven is too hot... ) They should be almost done after 7 minutes... if not... cook them for about a minute more. The trick here is to find the optimal setting for your oven that will cook them in 7 1/2 to 8 minutes... Once you find this setting (it may take some experimentation) mark it on your dial...
This recipe should make about 5 dozen of the most awesome cookies you've ever had!
Special Hints
Throughout this whole process... you should be dancing around the room listening to your favorite love songs... for some reason it makes the cookies taste better...
Make sure you measure out your ingredients with extreme accuracy and loving care...
If you are a weed smoker... wait until AFTER you mix the dough to toke it up... and make sure you have that timer!
Share them with someone while they are still warm out of the oven... If you don't have a loved one or friend handy... give some to your friendly neighbor...
Never use cookies for evil... unless you love evil... in which case I suppose it's okay...
